HOW TO USE COGS: AN OVERVIEW
This is how to use the system as it is set up at the moment. We will be improving it and adding functions as we go along. (See trial plan).
To experiment with COGS you need a volunteer giver and a receiver, both of you must be registered users, link to PORTAL.
When you register you receive a confirmation e-mail.
Meeting in person
Invite your friend to a meeting and give him/her say a loaf of bread you have baked yourself, or receive a gift of say, home made jam from him/her.
Agree on a number of COGS as a time value for the gift.
The receiver then takes the voucher, enters the COGS site and e-mails you requesting acknowledgment, to show she has joined the system
You go into the portal and credit her account.
You are able to go into your account at any time to see points being given, received and current balance etc.
Meeting in front of a computer
Complete the details of the gift acknowledgment directly at the computer.
Just log in and transfer the COGS points to the receivers account using their unique ID.
Now both your accounts will be updated.
